Conference Overview
Leadership starts with the individual. This program focuses on personal growth and capitalizes on the wisdom, courage, and strength students need to be successful as individual leaders. Made for Excellence is a one-day experience open to ALL sophomore Texas FFA members and will be held in conjunction with the Building Excellence and Executing with Excellence conferences. See details below for information regarding the 2019 - 2020 conference information! The same conference will be hosted at all locations across Texas on each of the different dates.
Why should I come?
- Called "Texas FFA's best kept secret" by advisors
- One of the few advanced, state level opportunities to ALL students! (Qualifying it as a "state day" in local school districts)

Students will be able to...
1. Define leadership and identify characteristics that make a strong leader.
2. Identify the significance of choices made everyday.
3. Identify their own strengths and implement strategies for utilizing teammates' strengths.
4. Identify their interests and find opportunities their interests and strengths create.
5. Understand the importance of continual growth and identify areas in their life to develop.
6. Utilize goal setting techniques to capitalize on opportunities.
7. Develop a plan of action to execute an opportunity over the next year.
8. Discuss leadership and planning topics with others.

Registration:
Advisors register students for the conference through the Texas FFA roster system. Cost for attendance is $60 per student. Don't forget to download your acceptance letter after registration!
Registration will close 10 days before the event.

2017-2018 Highlights
Students ability to define leadership increased by an average of 39.5% following participation in MFE.
Students increased an average of 34.4% in their ability to identify their strengths.
Students increased an average of 40.5% in utilizing goal setting techniques to capitalize on opportunities.
