Tell Your Story
Purpose: The purpose of the Chapter Officer Challenge is to encourage local chapter to plan and execute a major service project and to promote the project through available channels--local and regional media, school media outlets in some large districts and multiple social mediums.

Recognition: All submissions will be recognized in the state convention programs. The top submission will be recognized onstage.

Deadline: May 31, 2016

Instructions:

  • Conduct a community service project or highlight a project arranged earlier this year to tell your chapter’s story.

  • Post a 15-second and 30-second video highlighting your community service project on social media using the hashtag #txffachallenge.

  • Use multiple social media outlets (ex. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to advocate for FFA and share what your chapter is doing to enhance your community using the hashtag #txffachallenge.

  • Contact all local news outlets to publicize your chapter’s community service project and what your chapter is doing to enhance your community.

  • Contact individuals/groups in your community who have a stake in your project’s success. Seek and secure their support of your chapter’s community service project. Secure three independent testimonies, not connected to your local FFA chapter, to endorse and validate your chapter challenge project in writing.

  • Create an action report using the National Chapter Award application in AET to document what your chapter’s service project was, how you planned the project and the outcome using measurable outcomes. (Goals and Objectives, Plan of Action and Results and Evaluation).

Final Submission
  1. Complete your chapter's National Chapter Award through AET. The final application will be generated as an Excel file.
  2. Complete and submit the 2016 Chapter Officer Challenge Application.

  3. Email your 2016 National Chapter Award and any additional documentation highlighting your public relations efforts in PDF form (ex. news coverage, photos) to sbutler@texasffa.org.
