Every year, ten deserving students are selected to join the Ford Leadership Scholars Program. During the student's senior year of high school, the FFA members commit to a hands-on leadership program and complete year-long substantial and sustainable service capstone projects.

Lindale FFA
Project Four 11:12 was a four-session day camp designed for young men ages 11 to 12. Each week focused on instilling valuable life lessons and character-building skills while introducing hobbies that can last a lifetime. Campers developed professionalism, self-discipline, service skills, and other essential life skills through hands-on experiences in golfing, fishing, grilling, DIY basics, and hydroponic gardening, all led by experienced professionals.

Glasscock County FFA
Bearkat Buddies was a mentorship initiative that paired Glasscock County ISD Student Council members with first- and second-grade students at the elementary school. Throughout the second semester, each mentor pair read four books together, with each selection focusing on themes that encouraged students to become their best, most confident, and positive selves.

Summer Creek FFA
The Coop Connection was a Ford Scholar project focused on providing nutritional assistance while educating the Humble community about food sources, sustainable practices, and the importance of nutrition. The initiative established chicken coops at three locations throughout Humble, creating a sustainable source of fresh eggs for families in need.

Through a three-part seminar series called RISE (The Readiness Initiative for Skills and Experience), students participated in interactive sessions covering essential professional skills, including sales training, social media presence, and personal financial management. In addition to the RISE seminar series, a CTE Council was established, bringing together standout seniors from a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways.

Pond to Purpose was a revitalization project that transformed an unused pond at Falcon Ridge Elementary into an outdoor learning space for students and the surrounding community. The completed site featured a one-mile walking trail, wildlife habitats, and educational stations designed to connect children with nature through hands-on learning experiences.

Bellville FFA
P.E.A.R.L. (Empowering Senior Citizens Through Purpose, Education, Assistance, Resources, and Love) was a Ford Scholar project designed to support adults ages 50 and older in Bellville and the surrounding communities. Through monthly gatherings, participants engaged in educational sessions, accessed valuable community resources, and built meaningful relationships that promoted overall well-being and lifelong learning.

Bridging the Gap was a Ford Scholar project that established a monthly intergenerational program at Arbor House Assisted Living Care in Llano, Texas. The initiative fostered meaningful relationships between students and residents through interactive activities, games, crafts, and shared experiences that encouraged connection and community.

The Leopard Success Series was designed to prepare students for life beyond high school by providing practical skills and leadership development opportunities that are often overlooked in the classroom. Throughout the program, students participated in interactive workshops focused on essential life skills, career readiness, and personal growth. The series equipped participants with tools to succeed in college, the workforce, and everyday life while fostering confidence, leadership abilities, and personal growth.

This project was a collaborative effort with The Market on Tierra Blanca and St. Helen’s Outreach to develop a sustainable, scalable grocery delivery program serving homebound seniors in the Canyon community. The initiative addressed food insecurity among local seniors by coordinating community resources and strengthening partnerships to improve and expand existing delivery efforts.
