Texas FFA Rodeo

The participants of the annual Texas FFA Rodeo in Fort Worth have been working day and night for this moment to showcase their hard work and dedication.

During the 86th Texas FFA State Convention, members were able to demonstrate their passion and devotion as they competed for a champion title in their chosen events.

These participants work year round in order to improve upon their skills. Such dedication towards improvement resembles the true meaning of personal growth and strength.

“The rodeo is fun, exciting and I love how chapters can be active and involved with their support,” Harley Lynn, two year breakaway roping participant, said. “It is a great opportunity for members such as myself.”

The Texas FFA Rodeo showed some stiff competition this year and with a $1,000 scholarship on the line for each division winner it added to the intensity of the night.

This event is broken into multiple divisions; breakaway, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, goat tying, team roping, bareback and bull riding. FFA members from across the state travel to the convention in order to compete.

The Texas FFA Association looks forward to welcoming new and returning participants each year. They are anticipating a bright future for the many members who have participated, and hope they are able to take something from their experience back with them to their chapters and surrounding communities.
