Texas FFA,
My oh my, where has the year gone? It seems like only yesterday that we were starting major shows, kicking off CDE competitions, and preparing for the 85th Texas FFA State Convention. Then, we represented Texas FFA at National Convention in Louisville, KY, bringing home many National Championships.
As LDEs are coming to a close, my favorite time of year is approaching. Christmas! It's a time full of family, food, sleeping and gifts. Thorough the Texas FFA, we have been given some very special gifts. The gifts of opportunity, support and time. Whether you're a freshman starting your journey in our organization or a senior ending it with a bang, always remember to seize the day. Join a judging team that you've always been hesitant to join, get more involved in your chapter, or even become a mentor to a younger member!
In whatever you choose to be apart of, I hope that you take every advantage of the opportunities that you've been blessed with. I'm so excited to see you all at upcoming contests, camps and then State Convention will be here before we know it. I will leave you with this quote. "Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present" - Bill Keane.
Carpe Diem!
