Prior to the fifth general session of the 88th Annual Texas FFA Convention, the Texas FFA Foundation hosted the 2016 VIP Breakfast, sponsored by La Quinta Inn and Suites, honoring sponsors and dignitaries. The yearly event celebrates the generous Texas FFA Foundation donors and their “infinite” investment towards Texas FFA members.
“I believe in the principles of what they teach and the core values that they instill in young people,” Richard Wallrath, Texas FFA Foundation Donor and Philanthropist said. “That is why I support the FFA.”
Through a coordinated effort to engage Texas Agriculture Education partners with business and industry individuals, the Texas FFA Foundation strives to advance agricultural education and the Texas FFA Program.

During the breakfast Stan Ray, Farm Credit Bank of Texas Chief Administrative Officer, received the prestigious Passion for Excellence Award. This award is given annually to an individual(s) who have demonstrated a passion of service to others. The Texas FFA Foundation works with a core value of developing stewardship in our homes and communities. The annual award is a way of recognizing those who give to make their communities a better place to live and work.

Texas FFA supporters and donors are a crucial reason the Texas FFA is able to continue the development, funding, and implementation of cutting edge learning opportunities. They support a mission that matters.
“They are behind the scenes providing leadership, experience, and dollars,” Perri O’Keeffe, Past Texas FFA State Officer and Texas FFA Foundation Donor said. “We couldn’t be able to do what we do as an organization, and you wouldn’t be able to have a convention like this without them.”
