Overview
The selection process to receive the Texas nomination for National FFA Office takes place at the Texas FFA State Degree Check held in June of each year. A twelve-member nominating committee of students parallels National FFA's officer election process in order to select who will serve as Texas's candidate for national office at the National FFA Convention held in October of each year.
This system is designed to reveal an individual's true personality, agricultural knowledge, and leadership abilities through several competency testing rounds including a written test, workshop, SAE writing prompt, writing exercise, stand and deliver practicum, round robin interviews, one-on-one interviews, and a personal round.
If you are interested in running for national office, please contact your area coordinator prior to your area convention, as required by Texas FFA Bylaws.
