Ambassador's Favorite Resources
"My favorite National FFA Educator Resource is the Student Handbook Workbook. The Student Handbook is a great supplemental resource for the FFA Manual, and can really give students that extra reinforcement when learning about all that FFA offers and stands for. You can use the entire workbook or just choose specific activities. It’s also available in both English and Spanish!" - Leigh Ann Freeman, Daingerfield

"The AgExplorer resource is my favorite National FFA Educator Resource. In 2023, National FFA updated the website, and added more career choices.  Another update is that if students don’t like one of their careers that they were given, they can say that that doesn’t interest them and they will be given another option. This is a great resource to implement when covering careers in agriculture because it gives diverse options and links to other resources that are useful!" -Kasey Naylor, Sam Rayburn

"This year, I have implemented the Agriscience Fair lessons in my Advanced Animal Science classes. I have always taught the Agriscience Fair as part of the curriculum for that class, but in the past I have really struggled finding quality resources that were relevant. I really like that these lessons from National FFA are more in line with the FFA Science Fair, and it gives me the opportunity to encourage students to participate in FFA that might not have otherwise been involved." -Ashlee Lawson, Scurry-Rosser

"Educator Guides and the Generic Activity Sheets are one of my go to resources at this time. I like being able to have a worksheet at my disposal for any type of activity I may be doing in our classes. Being an ag science teacher means being gone a lot! With these workshops you can have work for your kids ready and available at the click of a button." -Cheryl Handy, Sinton

"I use often SAE for All in the fall.  If you have not used this lately, log on and see the big changes that have been happening.  I have many non-traditional students, and this is great because it helps these students understand that there are SAE’s that are available for them…other than animals or ag mechanics. SAE for All is ready to use, and doesn’t require a ton of prep work on your part. I also use the bell ringers for the ag classroom A LOT, especially at the beginning of the year when I’m making my weekly bell ringers and daily agenda slides.  I know that some teachers also use the bell ringers as exit tickets." - Charlotte Main, Kilgore

Bell Ringers for the Agricultural Science Classroom

"By far my favorite National FFA Resource has to be “Giving the Gift of Blue.” I have been in education for 15 years, mostly at underprivileged schools. Being able to help students receive their blue jackets that embodies everything FFA stands for at little to no cost to them is incredible! Seeing the students when they receive their jackets and put them on for the very first time allows them to feel like everyone else who wears it. The students take pride in it, they appreciate it beyond belief, and it makes them feel like they are a part of the world’s greatest youth organization! That is a memory you will never take away from them. Not only does it give students an opportunity to belong, but also community members to give back! Teachers, parents, community members from all over the country can chip in and truly help to serve others and be selfless leaders. This is what we should be instilling in our students every single day!" -Shannon Mulkey, Era, Texas
