Two Texas Members Named American Star Finalists

The National FFA American Star Award recipients represent the best of the best among thousands of American FFA Degree recipients. The program seeks to recognize students with incredible supervised agricultural experience projects. Every year, four finalists are selected in each of the four categories: Star in Agribusiness, Star in Agriscience, Star in Agricultural Placement and Star Farmer. This year, Texas had finalists in two of the four award categories.
Conner Watts of the Slaton FFA chapter was recognized as an American Star in Agribusiness finalist and Katherine Fazzino of the Rudder FFA chapter was recognized as an American Star in Agriscience finalist.

Katherine Fazzino - American Star in Agriscience Finalist
The American Star in Agriscience is awarded to the FFA member that demonstrates the top agriscience-based supervised agricultural experience in the nation, including students who are actively engaged in doing their own research individually, as well as those students who may be cooperating on research projects with others. The member must demonstrate outstanding achievement, active FFA participation and have an exemplary scholastic record.
Conner Watts - American Star in Agribusiness Finalist
The American Star in Agribusiness is awarded to the FFA member with the top non-production agribusiness supervised agricultural experience in the nation. The member must demonstrate outstanding achievement, active FFA participation and an exemplary scholastic record.
