The Texas FFA Association named Jennifer Jackson the organization’s new executive director, effective Friday, October 1, 2021.

Jackson, a native Texan, has a background rich in agricultural education, career and technical education, and FFA.

“Thanks to our membership, our hardworking teachers, and our stakeholders who see the value in what we do, I think the future of our organization is bright,” said Jackson. “I'm excited and blessed to serve alongside these individuals to continue to challenge our students to meet their potential while still appreciating the traditions and values that our organization was founded upon.”

After an extensive search process, the Texas FFA Board of Directors selected and approved Jackson as Executive Director.

Texas FFA Board of Directors Chair Terry Baize shared the news with agricultural science teachers, students and stakeholders, saying, “We are excited to have Ms. Jackson move into the role of Texas FFA Association Executive Director. I know she will be a great fit to lead this organization into its next level of achievement.”

Jackson, a former FFA member, brings a strong programmatic development perspective and an educator’s outlook to the association.  Previously, she served as an agricultural science teacher and FFA advisor for 15 years. Her tenure includes serving on numerous appointed state and national advisory committees pertaining to agricultural science and career and technical education.

She currently serves as the Student Recognition and Scholarship Coordinator with the Texas FFA Association. She is responsible for coordinating, evaluating, revising, and managing the competitive event and scholarship programs that have been identified and developed by the Texas FFA Association board of directors.  She ensures that the association utilizes cutting-edge methodologies and technologies to deliver student-centered programs that meet the organization’s strategic priorities.
