Located in our nation’s capitol, the Washington Leadership Conference is a five-day event that trains FFA members to make a positive impact in their school, local community, state and country. This summer conference for FFA members throughout the nation, focuses on problem solving, relationship building, living with character and developing an attitude of serving others.
Texas FFA believes that WLC is a valuable opportunity for personal growth and is encouraging more members from our state to take advantage of th
e remarkable experience. In partnership with the National FFA, the Texas FFA is providing four (4) financial grants of $425 each to members that will attend WLC 2006. These grants will be awarded to students based on information presented in their application, resume and essay. Selected recipients must agree to promote WLC and share their experiences with FFA members in their chapter as well as surrounding FFA chapters in order to boost Texas participation

Jeralyn Stephens, McKinney FFA member, attended WLC as a winner of a "Follow Me to WLC" award. She said, "WLC makes students get out of their comfort zone. You meet so many new people with different lives, but the same love for agriculture!"
Thank you Jeralyn for sharing pictures from your WLC experience!
