Members must submit an application and go through an interview process at the area level in order to be selected for Texas FFA scholarships.  Each area association submits scholarship finalists to the state scholarship committee for final scholarship application review and interview. 

Please contact your local FFA advisor to determine local deadlines for submitting application for the Texas FFA scholarships.  

Important dates to remember:
Area I: April 3, 2009 - Submit name, address, and phone number of applicants
            April 17, 2009 - Applications due to Area Coordinator, Alan Been
            May 9, 2009 - Interviews and selection

Area II:

Area III: May 6, 2009 - Scholarship Deadline

Area IV: May 12, 2009 - Scholarships will be reviewed at Degree Check
               May 16, 2009 - Scholarship Interviews

Area V: May 5, 2009 - 5:00 p.m. Scholarship Deadline

Area VI: May 16, 2009 - Scholarship Deadline

Area VII: May 1, 2009 - Scholarship Deadline
                May 14, 2009 - Applications cut down to the top 40
                May 20, 2009 - Scholarship Interviews

Area VIII:

Area IX: May 5, 2009 - Scholarship Deadline (during area convention)

Area X:

Thanks to the generosity of numerous scholarship donors, the Texas FFA awards scholarships to more than 170 outstanding graduating seniors through its academic scholarship program.  These scholarships are awarded based on academic and FFA achievements as well as the member's performance in an interview process.
